I'm thinking of getting this game, but is it worth it? Or isn't it scary enough? :p
Looked up some things on Youtube, but like with every game, they put the best stuff in the trailers.

It's worth a rent, don't buy it, though.
The game definitely is scary, and Calling was inspired by some of the elements. There's also no storyline at all (the only thing is that the family moved into the cursed home).

You should support the developers, making a game is way hell of an effort which involves a lot of work. And please, as much as modding is awesome, don't discuss it on this forum
However, the game was a disappointment to me, so don't get your hopes up. The background and scenery graphics are great, especially in the Rundown Factory episode.

Ah the grudge was pretty creepy. It had a scary atmosphere.
But I would suggest renting instead of buying it. Once you beat the game it wont be fun to replay.
Lots of like 'jump' moments and some pretty disturbing areas. It was alright, no plot though. The Calling had a better story to it but I think the grudge might be creepier.

I love the Tales games too! There's a new one for the Wii coming out in NA in September....I can't wait It's called Tales of Graces.
I don't think I could handle the Grudge. In The Calling there are a lot of moments, nice ones, scary ones, sad ones, even funny (Makoto and the falling boxes....I'm so mean....) but The Grudge just seems all scary, know what I mean? :/ I haven't really played it, just seen previews, so I could be wrong about that though.

I've played JU-ON, The Grudge, and I've seen the movie. I'd say It's a buy. The only annoying thing is (SPOILER) locating the fragments for Episode Five

yeah after playing the grudge im always scared to open doors it always suprised me when it randomly had things pop out and i mean randomly lol

Well, I didn't find it, it belongs to a friend who lets me use her Wii when I need a scary game that I don't own/can't play on my own consoles.
