Who wants Rin back?

I definitely would.

I love Rin, she's awesome, but I don't think I'd want her fully back in the second game. I really want to see other characters go through similar events as her and experience The Mnemonic Abyss (if it returns)

I'd like to see and play Rin again in the sequel. I like it when old characters come back. But the sequel would probably cycle through characters like the present game, so we'd probably be able to play new characters too Which is going to be fun. I wonder what they'll be like?

And maybe poor Shin's ghost will make a cameo, who knows. Or maybe in The Calling he'll be able to go to the afterlife with all the other Mnemonic Abyss ghosts (I'm just on my second playthrough, so if that happens, I don't know but I hope it does).

Only cameos

I would like to see Rin again but only as a cameo. Maybe the player could be able to find memos in the different locations Rin visited, like how you can find messages from Harry in Silent Hill 3. She could also appear in flashbacks.

That sounds interesting, maybe Rin could have left some 'Drifter Notes' off screen during gameplay. It could be helpful to the future main character, maybe.

I just thought of this, but considering what happened to Rin during the game I would not be surprised if a "good" ending in the game would feature the player's character waking up in the hospital, under the care of Nurse Kagura.

I would love to see her back, but it would be better to make new characters and use Rin as an Easter Egg (memo's and stuff or that she tries to warn you for all kind of things).

I just thought about something....are all the people in the Mnemonic Abyss dead, or did the Abyss just create ghost counterparts for some of them (like Nurse Kyoko)? I heard in one of the cutscenes that all the people in the hospital died from some curse so maybe she did die in the real world...

I think that's good, Simon. Makoto shouldn't be the only one with a notebook Maybe Rin found one offscreen in a drawer somewhere and left Drifter's Notes. Speaking of the drifters, I want to find out more about the Drifter that saw the two people get dragged into the walls of the hospital (maybe by the freaky faces that appear when the hospital's going to hell in a handbasket in The Lamentation).

If Rin tries to warn you about stuff, would it be her ghost, or "ghost counterpart" (I made that up though) that's hanging around in the Abyss for some reason?

Rin as a nurse = win. It could be that she devoted her life to care for others, after wards, like how Kyoko did.

Yes she is definitely a person that would be a perfect nurse.

Or as a school teacher. Both ideas could work very well.

Maybe she will be the nurse in a hospital where a similar event as in Calling will occur.

I think it would be cool if she came back in cameos, but i would also want to play as her for at least one section but she could be a bit older or something

I think that Rin would work best as cameos, the idea of the Drifter Notes and stuff from her sounds great.

I love the Nurse idea, I really would love Hudson to go with that now, because Rin is definitely the type of person who would help others, and she'd probably want to look over children in the hospital to make sure that none of them had to go through anything like Reiko did.

dragon dancer = i wouldn't because she escaped it all and Reiko is not mad at her anymore so there's no reason for her to go back

I like Rin. I kind of want her fully back, but would settle for a cameo or a "Rin's Note"-type item.
