Help-Always Dying?

I'm always dying when I reach Reiko's Mother's apartment (this is my second playthrough). She's just too hard of a ghost, and she always gets me. Her cries are also annoying, lol. Does anybody have any tips for shaking the Wii Remote and evading/shaking off ghosts? This isn't the first time I was stuck on a certain part.

I always found standing still in fights like this one helped. Also remember to push the 'A' button when is flashes red but you have to be quick.

The thing I do is:

Shake the Wii Remote in quick, short bursts from side to side. At the meanwhile, keep on tapping the A button with your other hand.
