What's your favourite survival horror game franchise?

What's your favourite survival horror game franchise? It can be from the less known franchises such as Alone in the Dark, Clive Barker and Eternal Darkness, to the more modern series such as Dead Space, F.E.A.R and Condemned, to the scariest ones such as Silent Hill, Resident Evil and Fatal Frame?

My favourites are Cursed Mountain (extremely underrated Wii game), and Silent Hill and Resident Evil. Once I get an Xbox 360 I want to get into more claustrophobic survival horror games such as Dead Space and Condemned.

Anyone else willing to share their favourites?

Ju-On: The Grudge and Calling. I used to have Callling but it broke... but I got Ju-On and pretty much I liked it.

I enjoyed Calling a lot, but I'm too scared to play Ju-On: The Grudge again. The first level is scary as hell. Silent Hill, Resident Evil and Cursed Mountain will always be my favourites though...it's just sad that the developers of Cursed Mountain went bankrupt.

I've never played any of the Fatal Frame games, are they good? I mostly specialise in Resident Evil to be honest. By the way, have you played the survival horror series Dementium on DS. There's two of them (Dementium: The Ward and Dementium II) and they're developed by an independent company called Renegade Kid. They're awesome and surprisingly scary for handheld games.

Well Fatal Frame is very awesome^^ I love the storys in it^^ Exorcist ghost are fun >w< And the story's are awesome^^

Cool, I've never owned an Xbox or a PlayStation 2 so I wasn't able to play the first three games in the series. I don't want to have to spend a lot of money to get the English language patch for Fatal Frame 4 either, so no Fatal Frame for me .

Anyway, after spending a lot of time playing other games *cough* Resident Evil *cough*, I think I'm going to go back and get the last few optional items I need to 100% Calling.
